You know something's changed. Let's find out what.
Fatigue, weight that won't move, poor sleep, mood swings, brain fog, low libido. These can have a lot of causes, and hormones may be one of them. Testing can add useful information to the conversation, and a consulting pharmacist can help you understand what the results mean.
A sentence is enough. No payment on this website, and no appointment to book yet.

More time to understand the whole picture
Some people come to us still looking for answers after symptoms persist despite laboratory results that appear normal. Others are referred directly by their prescriber for a more detailed hormone consultation.
Providers will sometimes ask us to spend additional time with a patient, take a deeper look at symptoms and testing, and help the patient better understand the available options. We then work alongside the prescriber, who remains responsible for diagnosis and treatment decisions.
This page is for men, too. Low energy, poor recovery, changes in drive or sleep. The testing conversation works the same way, and Greenhill Pharmacy compounds men's hormone preparations as well. See men's health

Meet Marie Elam, RPh
Marie has specialized in hormone health since 2008, working with men and women both.
She goes through your results with you, explains what the options are, and works with your provider on what comes next. You take part in the decision rather than being handed a plan.
She sees patients by appointment, once testing is complete.
The pharmacy behind the consultation
Greenhill Pharmacy has been family-owned since 2013 by Tommy Martincic, PharmD and Amanda Martincic, PharmD. Tommy holds an HRT Specialist Certification (2016) and is completing a Functional Diagnostic Practitioner certification. Hormone care is what the pharmacy compounds most.

“Tommy's (the pharmacist) level of excellence and knowledge gives me the assurance I demand in my medicines and supplements. Greenhill has quality products and the staff is very helpful - facilitating you in your selection when needed. They have other products besides supplements and prescription drugs, so spend a few minutes looking around to see what they offer. My compounded prescriptions are easily refilled by phone and are always ready when promised. THANK YOU, Tommy and Staff. You are much appreciated.”
“In over the last 30 years I've never encountered a Pharmacy and staff so committed to helping the patient. They are friendly, professional and the only Pharmacy I have recommended now for the 3rd year in a row ... you will not be disappointed!”
Saliva testing, blood work, and what each one shows

Hormone testing measures the levels of hormones like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, and cortisol in your body at a given time. Different tests provide different kinds of information. Blood testing is commonly used to assess circulating hormone levels and establish clinical baselines. Saliva testing may be useful in selected situations, including evaluating cortisol patterns across the day. The appropriate method depends on the hormone being evaluated, the patient's circumstances, and the prescriber's clinical goals.
| Comparison | Saliva testing | Blood work |
|---|---|---|
| What it measures | Hormone levels in a saliva sample | Circulating hormone levels |
| How it's collected | At home, in a small tube — no needle | Standard blood draw at a lab or your provider's office |
| Timing | Can be collected at specific times of day, which matters for hormones that follow a daily rhythm | Single point in time |
| Where it comes from | We provide the kit, at our cost | Your provider orders it, or you bring recent results |
| Best for | Selected situations, including cortisol patterns across the day | Assessing circulating levels and establishing clinical baselines |
The right test depends on the question. Recent blood work may be useful, and saliva testing may add information in selected circumstances. Your provider determines which testing is appropriate for your care.
What testing doesn't do
Testing doesn't diagnose anything on its own, and it isn't a substitute for care from your provider. It's information. What it can do is turn “I don't feel right” into something specific enough to have a real conversation about, with your provider, and with our consulting pharmacist.
Why do this with a pharmacy?
Because we're the ones who'd be preparing the medication if it comes to that, and because a consulting pharmacist has time your doctor's fifteen-minute appointment doesn't.
We're independent and family-owned, we've been doing this in Simpsonville since 2013, and we don't take a margin on the test kit. If hormone therapy turns out to be the right path for you, we prepare it here following applicable USP guidelines and South Carolina pharmacy requirements, using qualified ingredient suppliers, including PCCA. Selected finished preparations are independently tested for potency.
And if it isn't the right path, we'll say so.
Tell us what's going on
Fill out the short form below. A sentence about what you're experiencing is enough. “Hot flashes, think I might be in menopause” is a perfect answer. No payment, no appointment.
We reach out and set up testing
Marie or Amy will get in touch to walk you through the process. We'll send a saliva test kit or you can pick one up here, you pay what it costs us, we don't mark it up. We'll also ask for recent blood work if you have it; if you don't, we'll tell you what to ask your provider for.
Your results come back
Once we have them, we'll get you on Marie's calendar for your consultation.
You meet with Marie
She'll go through your results with you, answer your questions, and, if hormone therapy looks appropriate, work with your provider on a plan. The consultation is scheduled and paid for at that point, not before.
The only thing we're asking you to do today is step one.
Where your provider fits
We don't replace your doctor, and we don't prescribe. A consulting pharmacist can help you understand your results, explain the options that exist, and prepare a formulation once it's prescribed, but the decision to start hormone therapy is made between you and your provider.
If you already have a provider you like, we'll work with them. If you're between providers, tell us, we'll help you figure out the next step.
That's the triad: you, your prescriber, and your pharmacist. Each doing the part they're qualified for.
Tell us what's going on
One short form. A sentence about what you're experiencing is enough to start. We'll take it from there.
